The Home Show is entering into its 49th year and we are pleased to announce that we have updated the show with a new name and logo to better reflect the show and our community. THE TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH
We are pleased to let you know that New Tecumseth will be hosting our first Mayor and Council New Year’s Levee on Sunday, January 8th, 2017 from 12:30 pm to 3 pm.
You are welcome to join us at the New Tecumseth Recreation Centre, 7300 Industrial Parkway, Alliston where we will host the Levee in the Hornet’s Nest Restaurant (2nd level) and enjoy some light snacks and refreshments.
And, during a portion of the Levee, there will be free public skating from 12:30 p.m. to 1:50 p.m. – it you’d like to join in, please bring your ice skates.

The “Walking the Journey Together” Capital Campaign is moving forward with energy and enthusiasm.
On Friday November 18th, at Matthews House Hospice “Touch a Truck” event,
Marv Chantler, chair of the campaign committee, announced the Walking the Journey Together capital campaign and reported that donations to date had reached half of the $6,000,000 goal with $3,000,000 raised.
The funds will allow Matthews House to expand to a 10-bed residence and combine the community and residential hospices into one “hub” enabling the non-profit organization to continue to provide cost-effective health care and community support. This Centre of Excellence will meet the growing needs of residents and families in South Simcoe.
CW-5 Subsection (2) Site Plan Agreement D11-AL-141 Matthews House Hospice 131 Wellington Street East Alliston 139-172 has been approved by Council and is approved for signing by the Town of New Tecumseth.
Detailed drawings of the Centre of Excellence are currently being engineered and we will be breaking ground Spring 2017 with the high expectation of opening Spring 2018.
We are looking forward to the community's participation in this project and thank everyone for their ongoing support.
