The “Walking the Journey Together” Capital Campaign is moving forward with energy and enthusiasm.

On Friday November 18th, at Matthews House Hospice “Touch a Truck” event,

Marv Chantler, chair of the campaign committee, announced the Walking the Journey Together capital campaign and reported that donations to date had reached half of the $6,000,000 goal with $3,000,000 raised.

The funds will allow Matthews House to expand to a 10-bed residence and combine the community and residential hospices into one “hub” enabling the non-profit organization to continue to provide cost-effective health care and community support. This Centre of Excellence will meet the growing needs of residents and families in South Simcoe.

CW-5 Subsection (2) Site Plan Agreement D11-AL-141 Matthews House Hospice 131 Wellington Street East Alliston 139-172 has been approved by Council and is approved for signing by the Town of New Tecumseth.

Detailed drawings of the Centre of Excellence are currently being engineered and we will be breaking ground Spring 2017 with the high expectation of opening Spring 2018.

We are looking forward to the community's participation in this project and thank everyone for their ongoing support.
